2025 Phenom Hoops
NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
The Academy Prep Disciples are your 2025 Phenom Hoops National Champions!
After falling behind by 9 in the second half, the Disciples fight back & win 69-68. And finish their first ever season as a program with a record of 20-5.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, and staff for their hard work, dedication, and belief into what the vision of Founder and Head Coach Kenny Gaines established in June 2024.

BigShots SLAM Silver Champions
The Academy Prep Disciples made a powerful statement capturing the BigShots SLAM Silver Championship in impressive fashion. Entering the event ranked #35, the Disciples defied the odds by taking down the higher-ranked #22 Gold State Prep from California in a commanding 63-51 victory.
Led by a balanced offensive attack and relentless defense, The Academy Prep proved they belonged on the big stage. Jullien Cole was unstoppable, pouring in 21 points to lead all scorers. Daniel Hollis added 11 points, while Elliot Emwionkpa chipped in with 10 points, helping seal the statement win for the Disciples.
This victory not only brings home the championship hardware but also sends a message that The Academy Prep is a rising force on the national prep basketball scene.
